Set Up Nameservers
Posted by Ahman donk on 21 April 2008 04:21 AM
(Example)

GoDaddy DNS Setup (Manual):

1. Setup the "domain host summary" FIRST. This is where you apply the ns1/ns2 IP addresses.
2. Setup the "nameserver summary" AFTER the above is completed and saved. Save.

If you forgot who you purchased your domain from, your current registrar visit this link:
http://www.dnsstuff.com/ and use the "whois lookup" tool in the first left column.

If the above does not work, follow the steps below.

Please copy and paste the below in an email and submit a support ticket to your domain registrar. Many registrars do not provide the client ability to update private dns (nameservers) via their domain control panel. You will need to contact your domain registrar.

so the IP address per ns1 and ns2 must be applied as well.

ns1.yourdomain.com
IP Address:

ns2.yourdomain.com

Thank you.
